Like all children, skyborn children enjoy playing. Without an abundance of toys, art or music aboard the fleet children have taken to expressing themselves via a harmless form of vandalism. Murals and designs constantly crop up on the exteriors of all ships in the fleets, only to be washed away by cloud moisture and ever present rain.
The older generations mostly consider it a harmless creative outlet, but wish to restrict what areas that children are allowed to draw upon with chalk. Younger skyborn don’t see the need to restrict it and argue that despite it coming from a luxury item (chalk being derived from flour) if wheat becomes a staple crop aboard the Horn O Plenty the problem will solve itself.
